The skin on the face is the most prone to developing wrinkles and fine lines as the skin in this area constantly moves in similar directions. As we grow older, the skin loses its elasticity due to the slowing down of the production of collagen. These two factors work together in the formation of wrinkles and fine lines as well as sagging skin.



Due to the many advances in science and technology, there have been many ways developed as to how to get rid of such wrinkles. But the safest and most natural way of reducing wrinkles is by doing facial exercises. This works by increasing the tone of your facial muscles so that they would exert a greater force on pulling your skin. This results in having shallower wrinkles, eventually eliminating them, and also preventing new ones from forming.



This method of getting rid of wrinkles is very effective as it relies on the body's own physiology to get rid of the unwanted wrinkles. Similar to how muscles exert a greater pull on the skin when people go to the gym to increase the mass and tone of their muscles, facial muscles also work the same way. This way, the body is naturally fixing these wrinkles so you don't have to rely on artificial procedures and techniques to get rid of them for you.




In addition to being very effective, it is also very safe as it will not require you to put any synthetic chemicals on your face or undergo possibly dangerous procedures. Chemicals may have long term effects on your body while exposing yourself to surgical procedures will always have some risks involved. You will also need to spend money with these other methods, as opposed to exercises which will not cost you any money at all.



The right way to do facial exercises is by stretching your skin in ways that it is not normally done. This causes your skin to be folded in new ways thus reducing the chances that wrinkles will be formed due to the same folding of the skin. this also stretches your muscles to it limit, which allows it to increase its tone and exert a greater pulling forec on your skin.



If you have no idea how to start doing these exercises, here are some simple exercises that you can start with. For around the eyes and forehead, you can try pulling down on your eyelids or forehead, then try raising your eyebrows as high as you can. Hold this for a few seconds before releasing. Do this for at least 10 repetitions so that the muscles are fully exercised.




As for the lips and cheek area, you can reduce laugh lines and make your lips appear fuller by alternating the shape of your mouth from an O shape to smiling as hard as you can. Another variation of this is by pulling down on your cheeks while smiling and tilting your head back. This reduces the sagging on the neck and cheeks as well.



By starting with these exercises as early as you can, you can prevent wrinkles from even forming in the first place. You can also search other ways as to how to do these exercises so that you won't be bored in doing the same movements over and over again. Just stay patient and continue doing these exercises everyday, you will eventually start seeing a difference in the appearance of your face.
